A construction crew was busy Friday afternoon beginning the steel work for the new Three Rivers College - East Campus at Sikeston. Located at the intersection of Highways 60 and 61 at Sikeston, it will include classrooms, a computer lab, science labs, nursing education facilities, and an exhibit hall/auditorium. The Eastern Campus will also allow Three Rivers to expand its degree and workforce-development offerings for Sikeston-area students, including its LPN-to-RN Bridge programs. Ground was broken for the project in August and is expected to be completed later this year. The new facility is expected to provide room for 1,500 students and will replace the current center at Sikeston, which is currently at maximum capacity.
