RISCO -- Senior Jordon Pavy became Risco High School's No. 2 all-time leading scorer during the Tigers' 60-52 win over Delta C7 at the Class 1, District 1 tournament Tuesday at Risco High School.

Pavy finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the Tigers, who held a slim 40-38 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Drew Fortner, a freshman, added 10 points for Risco (18-8) and Brandon Bixler chipped in eight.

Kaleb Reeves led the Chargers with 15.

Risco, who is making their sixth consecutive district championship game appearance, will be going for their fifth-straight district title against Clarkton on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

DEXTER -- The Notre Dame varsity boys basketball team received a 38-point performance from junior Quinn Poythress in an 80-61 road win against Dexter Tuesday night.

Poythress drained half of Notre Dame's eight 3-pointers.

Dexter trailed 56-49 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter.

Notre Dame followed with a 20-7 run to pad its lead to 76-56 with 2:12 remaining in regulation.

Five Dexter players tallied at least nine points.

Austin Chesser hit half of Dexter's six treys. He finished with a team-high 13 points.

Thomas Himmelberg scored 11 points fore Notre Dame (16-8).

Dexter (6-14) concludes regular season play when it hosts Cape Central Friday.
