SIKESTON -- Over the years Darlene Hatcher has witnessed firsthand the adventures of her cat, and now the Sikeston native is ready to share them with others through a single-frame comic strip.

About five years ago, Hatcher, who lives in Colorado Springs, Colo., developed a 13-episode, 26-minute cartoon series called "The Secret Mysteries of Johnny C."

But with a 3D animation budget of $2 million, Hatcher said she decided instead to focus on creating a single-frame comic strip called "Johnny C and Company."

Johnny C and Company follows the antics of a cat, Johnny C., with his right-hand man, Razor Rat, Gomez and the two new family members that are a menace to Johnny C, Emma the shepherd and Shania the husky.
