EAST PRAIRIE -- The East Prairie Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning.
According to reports, the armed robbery took place at KCs Jiffy Mart, on North Washington Street at just after 5:30 a.m.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 5-feet, 9-inches and 5-feet, 11-inches with a skinny build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap with a green bandana over his face with dark sunglasses and a dark long-sleeved shirt and gloves. He was armed with a gun.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the business before the suspect ran.
