Sikeston man faces felony charges

SIKESTON -- A Sikeston man faces felony assault charges after stabbing another man multiple times with a pocket knife early Sunday in Sikeston.

Michael E. Cox, 50, of Sikeston is charged with the class A felony of assault in the first degree and felony armed criminal action.

According to the probable cause statement, at about 2 a.m. Sunday, Sikeston DPS was dispatched to the 100 block of Lee Street in reference to an assault where a subject was cut with a knife.
