SIKESTON -- Whether you are for legalizing marijuana or against it, Show-Me Cannabis hopes you will come talk about it.

The Show-Me Cannabis Sikeston Town Hall meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Clinton Building.

"Primarily it is to educate the public about cannabis policy and the need to reform our laws," said John Payne, executive director of Show-Me Cannabis. "Also, it will offer a unique perspective that a lot of people don't hear because we are going to have two members of law enforcement who will speak in favor of reform."

Panelists set to speak at the Sikeston meeting in addition to Payne include Gary Wiegert, a police sergeant in St. Louis; and Larry Kirk, the chief of police for Old Monroe and a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition.
