Celebration of voter fraud is wrong

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Melowese Richardson illegally voted for the re-election of President Obama six times in 2012 and stated so proudly during a national television interview.

She was sentenced to five years in prison for voter fraud. She served eight months.

And now, the illegal voter is being hailed as a hero in the "voters rights" community. She was lauded for her federal voting rights violation by none other than the ever-popular Rev. Al Sharpton - surprise! - at an Ohio voting right rally last week.

Her slap-on-the-hand sentence for violating one of the most precious of American rights was the result of a state voter fraud conviction. She has yet to receive any punishment from Eric Holder's Justice Department.

By ignoring the election fraud, Holder and company are sending a clear and distinct message in the run-up to the mid-term elections.

Here's what Richardson actually did. She stole your vote. Despite your efforts to become educated on the candidates and the time and effort you put into making this critically important decision, she stole your vote.

And if this pond scum can steal your vote, so can someone else.

Given the opportunity to show the value of the vote, the Holder Justice Department instead has decided to ignore this federal crime in their selective prosecution process.

I was going to be critical of the Rev. Sharpton but why waste my time? This veteran race agitator and consummate liar deserves universal scorn fueled by sincere revulsion.

But quite frankly, why waste the time?

And just a reminder, this man is given his bully pulpit by the fine folks who bring you MSNBC. Remember that if you mistakenly find yourself on that television channel.

So Ms. Richardson is the new hero of the "voting rights" movement and is ushered to the stage for the obligatory applause from the adoring crowd.

What are we to make of this? Despite opinions to the contrary, this is not a partisan issue. This is an affront to our voting laws and an affront to every American who proudly participates in the electoral process.

If the Democrats could somehow miraculously find a moral ground, they would be universally condemning this woman, the rally that embraced her and the mock reverend who took to the spotlight to once again, muddy the waters of fair and honest elections.

Odds are you heard nothing of this on the major national media. Their partisan push against voter identification laws clearly trumps this story and for good reason - it does not fit into their agenda or narrative.

Just one final and equally as repulsive footnote.

This Welcome Home Melowese rally was sponsored by Ohio Votes - one of those now-infamous 501(c)(3) groups that have been the source of targeting by the IRS.

But for some odd reason, this group has not been subjected to the IRS tactics. Simply put, this group is not a conservative organization and, as such, of course they got a pass.

It's high time for Eric Holder to resign. Unfortunately, his use to this administration is not yet done.
