There will be a free skin screening for New Madrid County residents on Friday, June 6th, 2014. This screening is being offered free of charge by the New Madrid County Health Department, St. Francis Medical Center and Dr. Hal Brown, Dermatologist.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of their lifetime. With careful inspection of the skin, though, most skin cancer can be found early and treated successfully.

Screenings will take place at the New Madrid County Health Department. They will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. You must schedule an appointment in advance to receive a free screening. To schedule an appointment, please call the New Madrid County Health Department at 573-748-5541.
