PADUCAH, Ky. - The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the region.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible today, generally north of a line from Marble Hill, Mo., to Greenville, Ky. No widespread severe weather is expected.
However, the threat increases beginning Wednesday.
Thunderstorms are forecast for all or part of the area through Sunday. Locally heavy rain and frequent lightning will be the most common hazards throughout the period, the Weather Service stated.
"From midday into early evening Wednesday some storms may reach severe limits with damaging winds and large hail, the primary hazards. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out," according to the forecast.
