DYERSBURG, Tn.- Dot Foods Inc., the nation's largest food industry redistributor, is looking to hire as many as 130 full- and part-time supervisors, warehouse, clerical and technical employees for its new 166,494-square-foot distribution center in Dyersburg. Dot Transportation, the wholly owned subsidiary of Dot Foods, is hiring Class A CDL regional truck drivers for the new location, as well.

Last November, the company broke ground on the Dyersburg distribution center, the company's ninth U.S. distribution center and first in Tennessee. The $24 million, state-of-the-art facility in Dyersburg Industrial Park will bring 157 new jobs to Dyer County within the first three years. To date, the company has hired most of its leadership staff and some truck drivers who are currently operating out of temporary locations in Dyersburg until the distribution center is completed.

"As construction nears completion, we are hiring the rest of our team and filling as many of the 130 full- and part-time positions as we can prior to our official opening," said Tim Loyd, general manager of the Dyersburg distribution center. "We are looking for individuals who live in Dyersburg or the surrounding communities and who want to be part of Dot's expansion. Being part of our team means you will be joining a growing company in a high-demand field."

For its warehouse, Dot Foods is looking to hire full- and part-time inventory and warehouse workers, garage technicians, clerical employees and supervisors. The new facility will provide the company with 166,494 square feet of space and will include frozen, refrigerated and ambient storage; a 125,000-square-foot warehouse; and a 9,500-square-foot truck and tractor garage. It will service Dot Foods' distributor customers in middle and western Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and western Kentucky.

"Our warehouse positions are a great opportunity for individuals seeking full-time careers, college students looking for part-time work, and those looking for an additional source of income," said Loyd.

Dot Transportation is also looking to hire Class A CDL regional truck drivers in the Dyersburg area to deliver products to Dot customers and pick up products from suppliers. The drivers will work in a regional capacity, delivering to locations in western Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and western Kentucky. All Dyersburg-based drivers will start and end their weekly dispatch in Dyersburg.

Dot Transportation drivers must be punctual, have an excellent driving record, and possess a current Commercial Drivers License (CDL). For those who do not already hold a CDL, the company offers tuition reimbursement for truck-driving school.

"Whether you join the Dot family as a driver, warehouse worker, or sales rep, we encourage our employees to pursue career paths throughout the company," added Loyd. "In fact, most of the company's managers have been promoted from within, and the fast-paced growth ensures ongoing opportunities."
