Ayven Demarious Nelson was born at Kennett, Missouri April 1, 2014, to Kelci Lynn Nolen and Justice Demarious Nelson. He went to heaven on July 7, 2014, at home surrounded by his family at the age of 3 months and 6 days.

He is survived by his parents, Kelci Nolen of Portageville and Justice Nelson of Kennett, grandparents, Patrick and Monica Nolen of Portageville and Donna Nelson of Kennett, great-grandparents Lloyd "Buddy" and Tanya Brasher of Portageville and Elenor Booth of Hayti, great-aunt Connie of Portageville, great-great-grandmother, Connie Shankle of Portageville, aunts Jami Nolen, and cousin Sophie, of Portageville, Reba Nelson, Annastine Davis Green, Donnisha Nelson and Lowerstine Nelson of Kennett, uncle Marcus Nelson of Kennett and loads of great aunts and uncles, cousins, family and friends.

The visitation and funeral services were both held Friday, July 11, 2014 at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with Rev. Bob Kespelher and Rev. Todd Higgs officiating. Interment was at Portageville Cemetery following services.

Ayven was a beautiful, happy, smiling baby boy. He had such an impact on so many lives in his short but active life. He was nicknamed "Fat Daddy" by Aunt Jami and "Homer" even before his birth by his great-grandpa Buddy. If you said these names to him, he smiled. We know that his great-grandparents who preceded him in death, Anette "Bay" Nolen and Paul Shankle and his recently deceased cousin, Chad Fieweger, who was supposed to meet him in August in Louisiana, are having a ball with our bouncing baby boy. We know we are not separated as our love for you will always be in our hearts until we are together again in eternity. You were just too beautiful for earth.
