Oran man accused of sexual misconduct with child, 5

BENTON - An Oran area man in custody for crimes against a 5-year-old child.

Jesse John Branson, 37, is charged with the Class D felony of sexual misconduct involving a child, and the unclassified felony of first degree statutory sodomy.

On Monday, Detective Jessica Martin responded to a complaint that a 5-year-old child was sexually assaulted. According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, Martin conducted a full investigation of the allegations which resulted in a search warrant served by detectives and patrol deputies at the Branson residence and his arrest.
