Portageville, MO -- NewWave Communications continues to build on its commitment and investment to the small-to-mid sized rural markets it serves by launching ESPN's SEC Network on its cable TV lineup in August. This new network will be available to NewWave customers in Portageville, Wardell and surrounding areas. The new channel will be carried on Expanded Basic channel 66. The HD feed will be carried on channel 709. Jewelry Television will be moving to channel 98.
The Southeastern Conference and ESPN joined forces to create the new network. The SEC Network is an all-access pass to the most storied conference in college athletics. It includes 24/7 coverage of SEC sports with 45 football games, 100 men's basketball games, 60 women's basketball games, 75 baseball games and 50 softball games plus classic games, live events and original studio programming.
The Southeastern Conference teams include the Missouri Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Ole Miss Rebels, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, South Carolina Gamecocks, Tennessee Volunteers, Vanderbilt Commodores and Alabama Crimson Tide.
