Cook pitching for Dyersburg State

A former Portageville High School baseball pitcher is now pitching with Dyersburg State Community College. Hunter Cook now pitches with The Dyersburg State Eagles. They have 39 players on the team this year and 20 of them are pitchers only. Recently, the team traveled to the University of Memphis Sept. 5th for a Showcase Tournament. Several other community colleges were there playing, including Three Rivers Community College. He was the starting pitcher of the first games on Sept 5th against Northeast Mississippi Community College. Cook had two earned runs with no walks in the first inning. The Eagles used five of their pitchers during the game and lost 7-6.
