Jerry Dale Silman

Jerry Dale Silman of Marston, formerly of Texas, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was 76 years old.

Jerry was born to Ercil Pavey and A.J Silman February 26, 1938 in Gideon. Both Ercil and A.J. preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Jerry Dewayne Silman, in 2005; a brother, Merril Silman; and a grandson.

Jerry Silman was a self-employed construction worker and roofer. He was very supportive of the youth activities in his community, and he sponsored many children in local rodeos.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, Dennis Silman, and his daughter, Sharon Mullins, both of Portageville; four brothers, Delbert Silman of Portageville, Robert Silman of Marston, Danny Silman of Sikeston, and Phillip Silman of Lilbourn; four sisters, JoAnn Little of Bakersfield, CA, Barbara Dabney of Columbia, MO, Nancy Edgar of Portageville, and Terri Joiner of Malden; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
