The regular monthly meeting of the Portageville Fire Department was held September 29, 2014 at the Portageville Fire Station with 9 members present. Two probationary members were elected for full time volunteer firemen service. There was discussion on the September incidents and preparations were made for Fire Prevention Week and the Soybean Festival coming up in October.
