SIKESTON -- There are lots of decisions to be made by voters when they go to the polls on Tuesday.
Residents will made decisions on who will fill state, Eighth District and county offices. Also on the ballot are four amendments.
In Scott County's one contested race, incumbent Jamie Burger, a Democrat, is facing a Republican challenger, Will Yates, for another term in the presiding county commissioner seat.
Democrats running in Scott County as incumbents for another term in a county office without opposition are: County Clerk Rita Milam, Circuit Clerk Christy M. Hency, Recorder Tara Mason, Treasurer Glenda Kay Enderle, Prosecutor Paul R. Boyd, Collector Mark Hensley, Division No. 4 Associate Circuit Judge Hense Winchester and Division No. 5 Associate Circuit Judge Scott T. Horman.
In Mississippi County, voters have a Democrat, Sally Carlisle, and a Republican, Julie Summers-Day, in a race for the two-year unexpired public administrator term.
