Argument leads to felony charges for Chaffee man

BENTON -- An argument between a couple escalated into assault and eventually, a man''s arrest.

Jesse S. Brown, 38, of Chaffee is charged with felony domestic assault, following an incident that began late Sunday.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, at approximately 12:05 a.m. Monday, Deputy John Caudle was called to a residence on Highway A in Scott County. A woman, identified as Brown's girlfriend, told the officer she and Brown were traveling in a vehicle on Route A when an argument began over Brown texting other females.

The victim stated Brown drove through a ditch and stopped the vehicle in a field.
