Extend deer season

Yes, I am not only calling for myself but I am also calling for all men and women who drive on the highway. I think the hunting season needs to be extended 12 months a year. Do you hear me conservationists? Because there is more deer killed out here on these highways and damaging these people's cars and you know who has to pay for this? The person who drives the car, the deer sure don't get up and pay for it. And I don't see anything wrong with people hunting deer year round because of the over population of the deer population. I don't know who is in charge of this or who makes the rules for this but I think someone needs to get together on this. In the state of Missouri, they need to lengthen the hunting season whether it be bow and arrow, rifle, it should extend 12 months a year to get rid of all these deer. Because people are traveling, going to and from work, and they don't want to hit a deer and have to pay for it themselves. I don't think it is fair because we pay taxes to be on the roads, but we don't feel like we should have to pay taxes and hit a deer and have to pay for that ourselves also. I think somebody is making money off of this. I feel like the senators, representatives, conservationists, they need to get together and look at this and lengthen the hunting season so the population of deer won't be so great and people won't be winding up in the body shop all the time having their cars fixed. Because believe me, labor is not cheap and parts aren't either and the way the cars are made today, they are just made out of fiberglass and you can make a fist and punch a hole into it, so I feel like someone needs to get together on this and lengthen the deer season.

Price check

Today is Thursday, Nov. 6, and Sikeston's gas is $2.77 and gas in New Madrid is $2.65. Just wondered what the difference was. Talk to you later.

We would say 12 cents.
