BENTON -- The annual Winter Wonderland of Treasures sale has made such a name for itself over the past 15 years, organizers have to turn away vendors who want to be included.

This year event organizer Judy Scherer said she had to turn away over 100 vendors after she'd already booked 60 spaces for the fundraiser, which will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at the St. Denis Parish Center on Highway 61 in Benton. It will feature handmade crafts, specialty-food items, direct-sale items and more. Admission is free.

"Now since we've been there so long and have had pretty good success," Scherer said. "We're starting to get more vendors and they're telling people and those people are telling people."

In addition to the gymnasium area of the parish center, more vendors will be located in the hallways and an extra room in the center. Some of the booths will feature woodworking, gift baskets, quilts, deco mesh wreaths, specialty coffees and more.
