Shop with a hero

Local law enforcement agencies have been taking part in "Shop With a Cop" events.

Treshaun Richards, 6, was almost overwhelmed by the choices in front of him as he shopped with his hero, Sgt. John Dubouis, a member of the New Madrid Police Department, Tuesday morning. This the New Madrid City Police Department teamed up with the New Madrid County R-1 School District, with the assistance of New Madrid County R-1 school resource officers, New Madrid County Sheriff's Department, Lilbourn Police Departyment and the Missouri State Highway Patrol to complete the first "Shop with a Cop" event in New Madrid County providing a merry Christmas for 16 youngsters.
