Drug investigation leads to arrest of Dexter woman
Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner has reported the arrest of a female subject involved in illegal drug activity.
Deputies arrested Amber M. Medlin, 29, of Dexter on the class B felony charge of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
According to the report, on Friday, Jan. 9, as a result of an ongoing drug investigation, deputies with the Stoddard County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on a motel room in Dexter.
Inside the motel room, deputies located a large quantity of methamphetamine that had been packaged to sell. Digital scales and packaging material were also located.
According to the report, Medlin admitted to selling approximately one ounce of methamphetamine in the Dexter area since Jan. 8.
She was placed under arrest, and a bond of $35,000 cash only was set. She remains in the Stoddard County Jail.
Other jurisdictions involved were the Dexter Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
