Local gospel singer's first video debuts
WYATT -- A new Christian Country music video featured in this season of Nashville Country Revival is the work of local talent.
"The Nail" isn't the first time gospel singer Mitch Pullen of Wyatt and Sikeston songwriter Sandy Bloemer have put together something good -- but it is one of the most requested songs he sings, Pullen said.
"It's a song about a little boy who is playing in the yard and finds a big nail like a railroad spike -- or like what Jesus was nailed to the cross with," Pullen said.
The boy is moved in the song to ask his father about the story of the Crucifixion -- a story which Pullen has found moves his audiences.
So when it came time to do a music video, Pullen knew this was the song.
"It was just a song that a lot of people could relate to," he said. "It's one of those songs I think wouldn't offend if someone heard it played on secular radio."
