BENTON -- Logan Ivie's double-double helped lead the Kelly Lady Hawks to a 54-26 win over visiting Scott City Monday 54-26.

Ivie led Kelly (10-4) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tessa Johnson added 13 points and four steals.

Michaela Kiefer and Natalie Woods led Scott City (0-11) with seven.

MERIDIAN, Ill. -- The Risco Tigers took a 55-50 loss to Century, Ill., Saturday during the Martin Luther King Shootout in Meridian, Ill.

Risco (0-13) was led by Luke Simmons' 15 points. Drew Fortner added 14.

The Tigers will host Cooter on Tuesday.

Wrestling

FENTON -- The Sikeston wrestling team finished sixth out of 14 schools during the 141 Rumble on Saturday at Rockwood Summit High School.

Courtney Hawkins was Sikeston's top finisher taking second place in the 138-pound division.

"We wrestled well in a very tough tournament," Sikeston head coach Chris Lowe said. "It was a total team effort to finish four points out of five with two open weight classes because of injuries. Courtney Hawkins was the standout taking second. He wrestled very tough and aggressive all day."

Garrett Middleton (126), Josh Stinnett (182) and Mitchell Garner (220) ended in third place. Javeon Bonner (120), Christian Crumpecker (170) and Gage Barber (285) all took fourth place.

Richie Garcia (113) finished fifth, Devin Cochran (195) ended with a sixth place finish and Luke Blanton (152) took seventh.

"I'm very proud of the effort of our boys and their toughness so far this season," said Lowe.

Sikeston will host the SEMO Conference Tournament starting on Friday and concluding on Saturday at the Sikeston Field House.

Freshman Basketball

Sikeston 60, NMCC 21

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston freshman basketball team defeated New Madrid County Central 60-21 Monday at home.

All 11 of Sikeston's players had at least one field goal. Jaquan Ray led the Bulldogs (5-3) with 18 points.

Jaurous Haynes paced NMCC with 10.

Sikeston 56, Jackson 30

JACKSON -- The Sikeston 8th grade basketball team improved to 13-0 on the season with a 56-30 win over Jackson on Monday at Jackson Junior High School.

Sikeston jumped out to a 15-3 first quarter lead and extended the advantage to 31-11 by halftime. The Bulldogs put the game away in the third quarter with a 19-8 run to lead 50-19.

"This was one of our most complete games of the season -- maybe our best game," Sikeston coach Derek James said. "We came out with great intensity from the opening tip and never let up. It started on the defensive end. This was no doubt the best defensive effort we've had all year. You can see it clicking with the guys the last few games. Hopefully we can finish strong in our last two games."

Sikeston was led in scoring by Kevin Jones with 29 points, including five 3-pointers. Trey Jenkins followed up with nine points.

Sikeston will finish its season with the Cape Junior High Tournament Wednesday and Thursday. Sikeston received the top seed and will play Cape Central at 6:15 tomorrow.
