CHAFFEE -- The Chaffee girls basketball team won its seventh game in a row defeating Portageville 61-35 on Tuesday at Chaffee High School.

Jordan Pruitt led Chaffee (18-5) with 19 points. Kylie Wilhite added 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Lindsey Harrell had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Julia Sutterfield scored five points and had seven assists, five rebounds and five steals.

Jelisha Minnis led Portageville (13-7) with 14 points. Sasha Starnes and Adrienne Duncan each added six.

CHARLESTON -- Led by Sierra Frazier's 21 points the Charleston Lady Bluejays took down Oran 57-49.

The Lady Bluejays (14-4) took a 30-23 lead into halftime before edging the Lady Eagles by a point in the second half to hold on for the win.

Behind Frazier, Cheyenne Randle and Alexis Hamilton had 12 and 11 points respectively.

Oran (10-7) was led by Tatum May's 14 points, seven steals, four assists and four rebounds while Ashlyn McIntosh added 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals to the cause.

CARUTHERSVILLE -- Fourth-seeded Portageville lost a semifinal to No. 1 Malden 57-50 during the Bootheel Conference Tournament Thursday at Caruthersville High School.

No. 2 Hayti defeated sixth-seed Caruthersville 67-64 in the other semifinal.

Malden will take on Hayti tonight at 7:30 p.m. for the tournament championship
