Jimmy D. Foster

Jimmy D. Foster of Portageville passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. He was 76 years of age.

Jimmy was born December 18, 1938 in Boekerton to Hester Quick and Roy Foster. He was united in marriage to Joan Carolyn Green on March 1, 1961 in Chicago, IL. She survives of the home.

Jimmy served in the Air Force and was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville. He was retired from Noranda Aluminum.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hester and Roy; two sisters, Freida Foster and Ruth Martin; and three brothers, Leroy, Stanley and Jerry Foster.

Those who survive to cherish Jimmy's memory include his wife, Joan Foster of Portageville; two daughters, Karen (Mark) Brands and Pamela Dee Foster, both of Portageville; three sisters, Shirley (Junior) Phillips of Marston, Martha Crawford of Hughes, AR, and Faye (John) Braddoch of Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Mike (Anna) Foster of Wardell, Bobby (Pam) Foster of New Madrid, and Don (Carolyn) Foster of Essex, MO; two grandsons, Jared (Andrea) Brands and Trevor Brands, both of Portageville; and one great-granddaughter, Harper Lee Brands of Portageville.

The visitation with Rosary was held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at DeLisle Funeral Home. The funeral service took place Monday, February 9 at St. Eustachius Catholic Church. Interment followed at Portageville Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jared Brands, Trevor Brands, Johnnie Jackson, Shan Foster, Richard Happe and Tim Wagner.

Honorary pallbearers were Hank DiCarlo, Jimmy Disher and Albert Sisson.
