Pow! It's telethon time

Occupational therapist Lauren Babb (left) and speech therapist Misty Tilmon decorate bleachers Thursday at the Sikeston Field House in preparation for this weekend's 35th Annual Kenny Rogers Children's Center Telethon. Set for Saturday and Sunday at the Field House, the superhero-themed fundraiser kicks off with a 5K run/1-mile walk at 9:30 a.m. Saturday followed by several events including a pancake breakfast, dog show, telethon throwdown, superhero fun zone and Telethon Idol at 7 p.m. The fun continues at 10 a.m. Sunday with Easter photos with bunnies, a fish fry, and the silent auction featuring over 200 items, which closes at 2 p.m. The grand finale will be at 4 p.m. Sunday.
