DEXTER -- Sikeston's Gabe Wheeler finished with a field-best 37 during a four-team match at Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter Wednesday.

Wheeler beat Notre Dame's Jonathan Bell and Jon Renner by one stroke. Notre Dame's Trent Schumer, Dexter's Drake Mitchell and Cape Central's Kobe Franklin each finished with 39's.

As a team, Sikeston finished second with a 176. Notre Dame took first with a 156 and Dexter rounded out the four teams with a 184.

__Baseball__

__Oran 13, Chaffee 0__

ORAN -- Hunter Schlosser had three hits and two RBIs to lead Oran in its five-inning rout over Chaffee Wednesday at home.

Schlosser had two singles and a double, while Preston Hahn added a double and two RBIs. Oran scored seven runs in the second inning and six more in the third and out-hit Chaffee 13-1.

Thomas Trankler earned the win on the mound after allowing one hit, two walks and striking out six.

Austin Copeland had Chaffee's lone hit.

DEXTER -- The Dexter tennis team defeated Sikeston 7-2 Wednesday at Dexter High School. Dexter won the junior varsity match 6-0.

The loss for Sikeston comes off the heels of one of their more dominant wins after beating Festus 9-0 on Tuesday.

__Track & Field__

KENNETT -- The Dexter girls track team won the Kennett Invitational track meet Tuesday by 113 points.

The Lady Bearcats posted a score of 184. Second was Hayti with 71, Charleston finished fourth and New Madrid County Central took fifth. East Prairie finished eighth.

On the boys side, Malden edged East Prairie 129-121 for the top honors. Charleston finished fifth and NMCC took eighth.
