CHARLESTON -- Sikeston finished off its second suspended game of the season Thursday taking down Charleston 12-0 in five innings at Hillhouse Park in Charleston.

Sikeston was ahead 8-0 in the top of the fifth when rain forced a stop in play April 21.

Sikeston went ahead 3-0 after two innings and scored five more before weather caused the halt. They added four more runs during the resumed portion Thursday.

Sikeston (10-8) finished with 17 hits.

Chase Gaines earned the win after four innings, six strikeouts, two walks and two hits. Trey Smith pitched the final inning giving up one hit.

Bruce Simmons led Charleston with two hits.

Sikeston will host Cape Central at 4:30 today during the first round of the SEMO Conference tournament at VFW Memorial Stadium in Sikeston.

STEELE -- South Pemiscot's Logan Damesworth pitched a complete game and struck out seven during a win over Kelly.

Kelly (8-14) out-hit the Bulldogs 8-7 led by Ty Householders' two singles. Riley Cain and Hunter Crocker each had two RBIs for South Pemiscot (9-5). Jabari Herron went 2 for 3.

GIDEON -- Allen Earnheart went 3 for 3 and Brian Buchanan pitched a complete game to hand Chaffee the road loss

Buchanan gave up two earned runs on four hits and four walks and struck out nine while also getting two of Gideon's seven hits and two RBI.

Lane Henson led Chaffee at the plate with two doubles.
