FARMINGTON -- Seifried & Brew LLC, a community bank risk management firm, named First State Community Bank in its 2014 Top 15th Percentile of Community Banks.
To gain entry into this distinguished ranking, the Bank demonstrated exemplary performance of balancing risk and reward based on the Bank's S&B Total Risk/Return Composite Ranking. This is no small feat considering that the Bank not only survived the Financial Crisis but actually thrived. This supports Seifried & Brew's belief that conservative, traditional community banking is the strength of our financial system.
"We're proud of our performance and believe it is a direct reflection of our management team and our staff members." Greg Allen, Chairman and CEO, said of the ranking.
CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Dr. Greg Pursley of PC Wellness Centers located at #5 Doctor's Park has recently achieved status as the sole medical professional Titleist Performance Institute Instructor in Cape Girardeau county, allowing him to use precise technology to analyze a golfer's form and use the analysis to create a more efficient golf swing.
"It's truly incredible what the testing and analysis can do," said Pursley. "Using these tests, I will be able to help golfers improve their golf swings individually, based on their own bodies and abilities."
Using high-speed video and orthopedic testing developed by Titleist Performance Institute experts, functional movement abilities and limitations are analyzed. From here, the knowledge gained is applied to golf swings to increase distance and control based on the golfer.
Pursley aims to educate golfers on effective strategy based on the results of this program. "There is a direct connection between a healthy body and sporting ability, and the information from this program allows me to help patients as individual golfers," Pursley commented. "When a more efficient swing is calculated, golfers have a better idea what their bodies are capable of and the risk of injury decreases."
