Students are shown pelts from some of the wild animals that can be found in Missouri by officers with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Students got to touch or even hold several types of snakes which, they discovered, are not actually slimy at all.
Students learn about some of the different writing utensils used by pioneers to keep journals.

Kindergarten, third and fifth grade classes from Hearnes Elementary and St. Henry's Catholic School in Charleston enjoyed a fun-filled outdoor field trip Friday at Corse Farms east of Charleston.
