New Hamburg man charged with domestic assault

BENTON - A man accused of injuring a woman by choking her and throwing her into a glass door is facing charges in Scott County.

Corey T. Crump, 22, of New Hamburg is charged with felony second degree domestic assault for an incident which began in the early morning hours Wednesday.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reported the victim came to the Scott County Jail to report the assault. The woman, who had bruising to her face, a laceration to her elbow, which required stitches, a laceration to her knee and several scratches to her back, was recently released from the hospital after being treated for her injuries.
