911 call leads to drug arrest

CHARLESTON - What began as a report of an assault turned into a narcotics investigation for the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department.

Jennifer Lee Brown, 38, of East Prairie, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, following an investigation which began Saturday evening when Deputy Marc Tragesser was dispatched to an Anniston residence. Upon his arrival, Tragesser met with Brown who reported she had been assaulted and thrown from a moving vehicle.
