Illinois man nabbed on drug charges

CHARLESTON - An Illinois man who was caught with drugs while being booked into the Mississippi County Detention Center is facing charges.

Adrian Cortez Lyons, 22, of Bloomington, Ill., was arrested last weekend by the Charleston Department of Public Safety. According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, during the intake process, Corrections Officers Blake Story and William Dorris located a small bag which contained controlled substances among the inmate's personal property.
