Nominations still needed to recognize R-6 teachers, grads

SIKESTON -- Whether a longtime educator who's made a difference in students' lives, a student who excelled academically or a record-setting athlete, the Sikeston R-6 District is seeking honorees to add to its Honor Wall and Hall of Fame.

But don't wait. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Monday. As of Thursday, the district office had received a few phone inquiries but hadn't received any official nominations yet.

Officials said the nomination process is an easy one, which requires filling out a form prior to Monday's deadline.

Forms are available at the central office or by clicking the "Hall of Fame/Honor Wall" hyperlink on left column of the district's website: sikestonr6.org. Nominations may be dropped off at the high school or central office or mailed to: Sikeston R-6 Central Office, 1002 Virginia, Sikeston, MO 63801.
