SIKESTON -- There's still a few weeks left to show your Rodeo Spirit.

The 2015 Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Spirit Contest, presented by Sikeston Jaycees and Sikeston Convention and Visitors Bureau, is a way to "show off your Rodeo Spirit and win prizes," said Linda Lowes, CVB director.

"We are trying to bring back the 'Rodeo Spirit' that was alive in the '60s and '70s when the whole community was involved," Lowes said. "It was a major community event that involved residents, restaurants and our retail business."

"We're just excited to work with the city and get the local community more involved in the Rodeo," said Ryan Lindsey, the Jaycee's general chairman for the Rodeo.
