PERRYVILLE -- In five games so far this season, Sikeston has been on the short end of seventh-inning swings.
The Lady Bulldogs (2-3) fell 5-4 on the road after Perryville scored the winning run in walk-off fashion in the seventh inning. Sikeston has lost two of its three games that was decided in the last at-bat.
Sikeston, who was without two starters for the majority of the game, led 4-2 until the fourth inning. Perryville scored a run in the fourth and fifth innings to tie the game at 4-all.
Sikeston put the go-ahead run on third in their half of the seventh, but could not push it across.
Ashton Drake and Hanna Placek led Sikeston with two hits. Placek and Tyeshia Mitchell each added a double. Kylie Noe, who pitched 6 2/3 innings and was charged with four earned runs, was the losing pitcher while Macey Hall earned the win for Perryville (2-2) after striking out nine.

Kelly won its third game in a row after out-hitting Naylor on the road.
Kelly (3-0) scattered 10 hits to Naylor's six and was led by Alexis Dock, who went 3 for 4 with a double and RBI. Marissa Worth went 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Dock also picked up the win after pitching four innings of relief. Anna Hughes was Kelly's starter for three innings and gave up three earned runs on four hits and one walk.

The Sikeston girls tennis team is still searching for its first win after falling to Caruthersville 6-3 Tuesday at home.
Sikeston's Ali Price won her singles match 8-5 defeated Hannah Bishop then teamed with Hope Mannon to top Bishop and Katelyn Akins 8-2 in their doubles game.
Allenna Landers and Emily Braden defeated Samantha Faulkner and Claire Young 8-5 in doubles as well.
"Another tough loss for us," Sikeston tennis coach Russ Dial said. "We had an individual do well and we got two of the three doubles matches. However, we continue to struggle with inconsistencies. We're working hard and battling, but we can't get the reps in practice we need due to nagging injuries continuing to occur."
Sikeston (0-4) will host the Sikeston Invitational Tournament Thursday with a 9 a.m. start time.

Cape Central did not drop a single match in a sweep of the winless Bluejays at home.
Cape Central improved to 2-2 while Charleston dropped to 0-4. The Charleston junior varsity lost 7-1.

Charleston took Oak Ridge to three sets by eventually lost its fourth match of the year 25-23, 10-25 and 25-10.
Madison LeGrand had eight kills for Oak Ridge (1-5).
The Oak Ridge junior varsity also won in two sets, 25-23 and 25-12.
__Bernie 4, Cooter 1__
Brock Beacham pitched a complete game and struck out 10 during Bernie's 4-1 win over Cooter Tuesday.
Beacham allowed two hits and one run while also adding a single at the plate.
