__Records:__ Chaffee 2-6; Kelly 2-6 __Series History:__ Kelly leads 1-0 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, Kelly won 48-18 __Last Week:__ Chaffee lost to Jefferson 72-54; Kelly lost to Portageville 64-6 __Notes:__ Last week, Chaffee allowed the most points in a game in school history and still had a chance to win the game the late. The Red Devils allowed 535 yards rushing and allowed 48 points in the first half. Offensively, Chaffee was nearly unstoppable in the second half as the Red Devils turned to the pass and scored 38 of their 54 points. Freshman quarterback Leyton Tenkhoff was 15 of 29 for 215 yards with three touchdowns and he also gained 214 yards on the ground with four touchdowns. Tenkhoff leads the team with 1,027 rushing and is 61 of 143 passing for 629 yards and six touchdowns. Chaffee is averaging 22.1 points per game while allowing 44.1. After a two-game winning streak, Kelly has dropped their last two games by a combined score of 120-6. For the season, the Hawks are allowing 41.3 points per game while scoring only 19.3 points a game. Senior running back/receiver Maurice Davis leads the Hawks with over 450 yards rushing and is Kelly's top receiver with 15 catches and 189 yards heading into last week. Senior running back Matthew Burford has rushed for over 400 yards and is another option for the Hawks.
__Records:__ East Prairie 5-3; Kennett 6-2 __Series History:__ Kennett leads 24-7-3 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, Kennett won 56-20 __Last Week:__ East Prairie defeated Charleston 55-6; Kennett lost to Malden 34-20 __Notes:__ East Prairie got back on the winning track last week, dismantling rival Charleston. The Eagles were able to move the ball on the ground and through the air with Deverence Jones leading the way. The junior had three scoring runs and gained 105 yards on just four carries. Freshman Derez Tipler gained 32 yards on three carries with a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass as well. Blayn Gooding made the most of his two carries, gaining 62 yards and scoring two touchdowns while senior quarterback Brett Ellis completed 6 of 9 passes for 61 yards and touchdown. The Eagles are averaging 34.5 points per game and are allowing 24.6 points a game. After winning five-straight, Kennett has dropped two of their last three games, giving up an average of 36 points in the two losses. Senior quarterback Edward Wilson paces the Kennett offense and has led them to 45.6 points per game. Last week, Wilson gained 150 yards on 23 carries with a rushing touchdown and also threw for 105 yards and two touchdowns. For the season, Wilson has nearly 1,400 yards rushing with 26 touchdowns and has thrown for over 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. Fred Gooden is Wilson's favorite target and caught six balls for 105 yards last week, including two touchdowns.
__Records:__ Herculaneum 2-6; Charleston 0-8 __Series History:__ Herculaneum leads 2-1 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, Herculaneum won 41-6 __Last Week:__ Herculaneum lost to Valle Catholic 78-8; Charleston lost East Prairie 55-6 __Notes:__ After losing five-straight to start the season, Herculaneum has won two of their last three games with the only loss coming to state-ranked Valle Catholic last week. The Blackcats average 16.4 points per game and are led by running back LJ Nelson. The junior has gained 504 yards on 90 carries with eight touchdowns. Quarterback Timothy Venable has rushed for 469 yards and three touchdowns while completing 21 of 47 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns against just two interceptions. Venable is also the team's leading tackler from his safety position with 55. Linebacker Sawyer Wilfong leads the team with three sacks and defensive back Jonathan Cox has two interceptions on a Herculaneum defense that is allowing 37.5 points per game. Charleston is scoring just 10 points per game on the season and is mired in a 19-game losing streak. The Bluejays offense is based on running the football and last week sophomore Jeremy Tucker led the way, gaining 83 yards on 15 carries. Senior Tennerious Ewing scored the Bluejays' only points with a 10-yard run as the teams' leading rusher on the season finished with 41 yards on 10 carries. Quarterback Lee Thomas Moody had success throwing the ball, completing 6 of 11 passes for 100 yards. Defensively, Charleston has struggled to stop teams this season, allowing 51.8 points per game.
__Records:__ Malden 8-0; Dexter 3-5 __Series History:__ Dexter leads 44-24-4 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, Malden won 76-8 __Last Week:__ Malden defeated Kennett 34-20; Dexter lost to Park Hills Central 42-27 __Notes:__ Malden is trying to beat the Bearcats four-straight times for the first time since the series between the two schools began in 1946. Last year, Malden's 76 points was the most a Bearcat team had given up in school history. This year the Green Wave come in with another good offense that is scoring 45.9 points per game. Quarterback Chapen Riley has thrown for 1,151 yards and 13 touchdowns while running back Nick Thompson has gained 911 yards on the ground with 18 touchdowns. Kylus Thompson has rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns while being Riley's favorite target with 510 yards and eight touchdowns on 26 catches. The Green Wave defense has allowed just 16.1 points per game but will be tasked with stopping Dexter quarterback Ethan Stevens. The senior signal caller has rushed for 1,311 yards and 23 touchdowns while completing 51 of 112 passes for 1,092 yards and seven touchdowns. He has helped Dexter to two wins in their last three games, as the Bearcats have averaged 42.3 points in that span. Senior Austin Chesser leads the Bearcats with 23 catches for 520 yards and four touchdowns. Last week, Stevens hit junior Jason Jarrell nine times for 99 yards. The Dexter defense has been the weak link in many of their losses as the young Bearcats have allowed 36.1 points per game.
__Records:__ Portageville 5-3; NMCC 1-7 __Series History:__ Tied at 4-4 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, NMCC won 48-20 __Last Week:__ Portageville defeated Kelly 64-6; NMCC lost to Fredericktown 44-27 __Notes:__ Portageville has won three-straight games, averaging 47.3 points in that span. The Bulldogs have been multi-dimensional, with a potent passing game helped by a strong running game. Senior quarterback Jon Garrett Kellams threw for 169 yards and four touchdowns last week, giving him 1,230 yards and 20 touchdowns for the season. Wide receiver Ian Torrey had a kickoff return and and punt return for a touchdown last week and caught two passes, both touchdowns, for 62 yards. On the season, the sophomore has caught 30 passes for 513 yards and 12 touchdowns. Running back Daniel McCray had 99 yards on just six carries last week and two touchdowns and has gained 858 yards on the season. The Bulldog defense is allowing 24.6 points per game and held Kelly to just one touchdown last week. NMCC has found the going tough this season, with only one win on their record. The Eagles are allowing 48.1 points per game while scoring just 17 points per game. The last two weeks, Javarcus Word has scored four touchdowns in the fourth quarter, compiling 267 yards rushing in the two games. As a team, NMCC has scored all 47 of their points the last two weeks in the fourth quarter. Last week, Craig Beasley led the Eagles with 61 yards rushing on 14 carries while JaMonte Sykes added 40 yards on 10 carries.
