New volunteer program to assist in providing food to the needy

Portageville has a new organization debuting November 20th. "Reaching All In Need" (R.A.I.N.) is a newly formed non-profit organization aimed at providing food assistance for hungry families. Their primary focus is on hungry children but hope to help everyone at risk for hunger.

The organization will rely on donations from local people and local businesses and will use those funds to purchase food for those in need. R.A.I.N. will initially serve around 80 families and plans to quickly increase that to around 200 families within a couple of months.
