Sikeston wrestling team sweeps Dexter, Notre Dame to open season

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston wrestling team got its season started in a big way Thursday with wins over both Dexter and Notre Dame at the Sikeston Field House in the tri-dual.

"The boys wrestled well tonight as a whole," Sikeston coach Chris Lowe said. "We learned a lot about ourselves and discovered areas that need work. There were some very tough matches that we handled well at this early part of our season."

Sikeston will host its 2nd Annual Sikeston Duals on Saturday scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
