PREP ROUNDUP: Charleston falls to Notre Dame, NMCC scrapes by Doniphan
Blake Bauwens netted 15 points as the host Bulldogs squeezed out the conference victory to get their first win of the season.
The Bulldogs trailed 24-21 at halftime and went on to outscore the Bluejays by six points in the second half to prevail.
Ross Essner tallied 11 points and three assists for Notre Dame (1-1, 1-0 SEMO Conference).
Mardareyon Clark busted a game-high 20 points and Dontarius Sharp tossed in 12 points to pace Charleston (1-3, 1-1).
Both teams begin SEMO Conference Tournament play on Monday at Sikeston.

The New Madrid County Central Eagles improved to 3-1 with the win over visiting Doniphan Friday.
Javarcus Word hit 7 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter for NMCC and finished with a game-high 21 points. Chris Farr finished with 12 points and Palmer Campbell 10 points for the Eagles.
Doniphan was led by Brad Eddens who finished with 19 points.
