Leo Eugene Farmer
Leo Eugene Farmer, of Portageville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in his home at the age of 86.
Leo was born November 24, 1929 in St. Louis to Retha Viola Farmer and Leo Farmer. He was united in marriage to Euladean M. (Dacus) Farmer on June 18, 1950 in Piggott, AR. She survives of the home.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Retha and Leo; one son, Ross Eugene Farmer in April 1954; and one brother, Larry Donald Farmer.
Leo proudly served in the United States Army with two tours in Korea. He retired from Noranda Aluminum. Leo was a member of the First Church of God in Portageville. He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Those who survive to cherish Leo's memory include his wife, Euladean of Portageville; two sons, Leo Brent (Cindy) Farmer of Metamora, IL and Scott Alan (Kim) Farmer of Portageville; two sisters, Leota Faye Mathenia of Pacific, MO and half-sister Theresa Farmer DeBretto of Hayti; four grandchildren, Holly (Colin) Moneymaker, Adam (Lizzy) Farmer, DeAnna (Trey) Weddington and Casey (Brad) Armstrong; and six great-grandchildren, Blake, Briley, Luke, Kendall, Laney and Edyn.
Visitation was held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at DeLisle Funeral Home. Funeral services took place Wednesday, January 20 at the First Church of God in Portageville with Rev. Bob Kespelher officiating. Interment was in the Portageville Cemetery with full military rites.
