SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs wrestling team returned home for the first time in nearly two months and had no problem with visiting Kennett, winning 69-0 on Senior Night.
"The boys wrestled really well tonight," said Sikeston head coach Chris Lowe.
The biggest match of the night was in the 195 class where Sikeston's Jordan Wheatley won by decision 8-2 over Kennett's Britt Harris.
"Jordan has really stepped up his wrestling this year and won his 40th match of the season," Lowe said. "I'm very proud of all our kids and fell that we are almost where we need to be with districts coming up next weekend."
Sikeston will wrestle in their annual inter-squad dual at the Field House on Tuesday night. The wrestling starts at 6 p.m. and is free to the public. The Bulldogs will take part in the district tournament on Feb. 12-13 at Farmington.
