While the sun was out Wednesday, several area farmers headed out to their fields, including one north of Sikeston, to begin getting ready for spring planting season. While temperatures are expected to remain cool through the weekend, the National Weather Service is calling for continued dry conditions in Southeast Missouri with a 40 percent chance for snow on Sunday and a chance for rain on Monday.
