Getting ready for school

Children in the Sikeston R-6 School District are taking part in the annual free screening which checks vision, dental, hearing, speech and developmental areas. Jayvaion Harris keeps a watchful eye as Veronica Hampton checks his height during Wednesday's screening at the Kindergarten Center. The screenings will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday. To make an appointment parents should call 471-0653.
