Missing man's body found in drainage ditch

NEW MADRID, Mo. -- The body of a missing New Madrid County man was discovered around noon Monday.

Family members searching for Terry Cunningham, 56, of Hartzell, who was last seen riding his all-terrain-vehicle in New Madrid County Friday morning, found his body just west of Clarkton, New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens said. According to Stevens, Cunningham's body was located at the bottom of a drainage ditch with the ATV overturned on top of him.

Stevens said there is no foul play suspected. "It was just an accident," he added.
