The theme for this year's Relay for Life of New Madrid County is Superhero's. Organizers of the event are inviting as many people as they can to help the American Cancer Society defeat the evil villain 'Cancer'!
This year's event is Saturday, May 14 in Matthews, MO.

* Wrap Up Celebration June 2nd
Plans include having a Fight Back Ceremony back.
"We will be working the track this year! Working the track is an opportunity for us to talk to participants, as well as Team Members, sponsors, survivors and caregivers to thank them for making this event so successful," said Kasie Jones-Holder, Community Manager of Relay For Life. "Plus, asking them about what they like and what they would like to see next year. This is a great opportunity to hear fresh ideas and scout for future ELT! We would like for each of our current ELT to participate in the fun out reach, and if any of our Team Captains are interested, we would love the help."
Relay for Life event organizers have a goal of 15 teams, so far three have registered. "Remind everyone you are talking to about joining as a team, that this is not a race. We will work the track," added Jones-Holder.
The goal is to have 100 survivors, and only two have signed up. They would like to have 150 participants and you can register online, or have your friends and family like the Facebook page and sign up from there!
Justine Sullivan has willing accepted the Luminaria Lead and Brianna Fouts has stepped into the role of Jr. Team Ambassador.
