NEW MADRID, Mo. -- New Madrid County Central announced its next head football coach Thursday night and they found one within the SEMO Conference.

Former Jackson assistant and Caruthersville graduate Tyler Fullhart will be NMCC's fifth head coach in school history.

"I'm just excited for this opportunity to work with the kids at NMCC," Fullhart said through a text. "We are going to work hard and compete in everything we do. I can't wait to get started."

Fullhart, who graduated from Caruthersville in 2005 and is a 2011 graduate of Arkansas State University, was Jackson's offensive line coach last season. The Indians finished the season with a 5-5 record.

The former Tiger takes over for NMCC's previous head coach John Dryden, who resigned in December. Dryden had a record of 5-15 through two seasons.
