Business minds

You probably won't print this, but here goes. I read where some prejudiced person called in about naming a street after Martin Luther King. That person said it costs too much money. How does that person know how many wants it done and how much money it is going to cost? My guess is the businesses don't want to call the street a black man's name on a regular basis by having the address named after him. That person might as well get a life and let them get it done. I'm quite sure the person that called in does not have a business on that street and probably have no business at all.

Don't Pamper them

I cannot believe that the government is wanting to make funds for people to buy Pampers when they are cutting funds for schools and children's education. I cannot believe they are trying to pass something to let them get Pampers. Let them get some cloth diapers and wash them. Our government is getting plumb crazy.

Feed them, and they will come

Sikeston needs more restaurants than banks and hotels. My favorite restaurant, Ryan's in Cape has closed. I think if you would build more restaurants instead of banks and hotels, you'd get more people to come to Sikeston.

365-day sale

I would like for someone to answer this question. Are you allowed to have a perpetual garage sale and a sign in your front yard at all times and the place look like a flea market without having a license in this city?
