Sikeston woman charged for making felony threats to local state agency
SIKESTON -- A Sikeston woman faces felony charges after allegedly making threats to a state agency.
Adren Carleen Romo, 29, of Sikeston is charged with the felony of making a terrorist threat, according to Missouri Case.net. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. April 20 before Judge Scott T. Horman in Scott County's Associate Court Division.
About 11:10 a.m. March 29, Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call that someone made threats to the Scott County Children's Division office located at 106 Arthur Drive.
According to the probable cause statement provided by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney's office, while speaking to an employee of the Scott-Mississippi County Children's Division Office at about 11 a.m. March 29, Romo became angry that the employee was not allowed to disclose the location of her children. The employee said Romo became increasingly angry when she would not provide her with the personal cell phone number of the caseworker who was working the case and stated: "People will die. ... do you hear me?," the probable cause said. The Children's Division employees were made aware of the threat by their supervisors and security staff at the building were also made aware. It was unknown where Romo was when the call was placed.
